About LIBRA Works

Before you open paid software, do it here. LIBRA Works is a toolkit for finishing IT work — PDF, Office, images, data, web, development, networking and security — right in your browser.

What we are building

Much everyday IT work ends with “installing paid software for a single task” or “uploading files to a site you don’t really trust”. LIBRA Works aims to be the safe place to get that work done first.

Beyond simple conversion, we are gradually releasing tools for editing, inspecting, repairing, comparing, checking and sanitizing files — supporting whole workflows.

Our three promises

  • We always disclose how processing works — on-device, on a server, or via a network lookup — before you use a tool.
  • No limits designed to upsell you: no degraded quality, no watermarks, no daily caps (technical limits that protect the system excepted).
  • We only publish pages that meet our quality bar: tested for normal, error and edge cases, with specific explanations and clear recovery steps.

On-device processing

The tools available today process your files and input entirely inside your browser, using WebAssembly and Web Workers on your own device. Your files are never uploaded.

If we add tasks that browsers cannot handle well — such as converting large videos — we will state up front that a server is used and how long data is kept, and delete it reliably afterwards.

Credits (fonts)

When the PDF watermark and page number tool needs Japanese characters, it uses Noto Sans JP (SIL Open Font License 1.1, Copyright 2014-2021 Adobe, Reserved Font Name “Source”), served from this site itself. The font is unmodified, and only the characters you use are embedded in your PDF. The full licence is at the link below.

Operator

LIBRA Works is operated by JIT Inc., an IT company based in Saitama, Japan, working on AI development, website production and business process improvement. Please report bugs or requests through the contact form.

What’s coming

We keep adding tools as each one passes our quality bar. Tell us through the contact form which tools you need most.
