How to use
- part.stlmodel.glb
Open a 3D model
- 3D view (rotate, zoom)size and volume too
Rotate it and check the size
- render.pngtransparent OKpart.obj
Convert to PNG, GLB, STL, OBJ
Drop a 3D model file here, or click “Choose files”.
For glTF with textures or OBJ with an MTL file, drop the related files together with their folder.
Drag to rotate and scroll to zoom. Use the Front, Top, Side and Isometric buttons to set the view.
Check the vertices, faces, size, volume and holes in the information panel. The unit is the unit you read the file’s numbers in.
Click “Export” to save the current view as a PNG, or convert the model to GLB, STL or OBJ.
What it does
Rotate and inspect without software
Rotate, zoom and pan, with Front, Top, Side and Isometric views. Wireframe and normal views help you check the shape.
Size, volume and holes
Shows the bounding box, vertex and face counts, and the number of materials and textures. For closed models it estimates volume and surface area, and it checks for holes (open edges).
Export PNG, GLB, STL or OBJ
Save the current view as a PNG with a transparent option. Convert the model to GLB, STL or OBJ. The conversion runs in your browser.
No upload
Loading, display and conversion all run in your browser, so drawings and prototypes never leave your device.
Use cases
- Check the size and volume of an STL file before sending it to a 3D printer
- Look at a GLB file you received, without installing software
- Convert an OBJ model to STL for a printing service
- Save the view of a 3D model as a PNG for a document or a product page

Capability matrix
| Feature | Support | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Open and view STL, GLB, glTF, OBJ, FBX and PLY | Supported | — |
| Rotate, zoom and pan (mouse, touch, keyboard) and view presets | Supported | — |
| Wireframe, normals, grid, axes and background colour | Supported | — |
| Animation playback for glTF and FBX | Supported | — |
| Size, vertex and face counts, materials and textures | Supported | — |
| Volume and surface area (approximate, closed models) | Partial | Volume is not calculated for models with holes. Above 1 million faces, the hole check is skipped |
| STL dimensions (unit) | Partial | STL files do not record a unit. Values in the unit you choose are estimates |
| Export to PNG, GLB, STL and OBJ | Supported | Some materials and animations may be lost in GLB and OBJ |
| glTF compressed with Draco or meshopt | Not supported | Open an uncompressed copy, for example one exported without compression |
| MTL and image loading (OBJ and glTF textures) | Partial | Only when the related files are dropped together with their folder |
| FBX loading | Partial | Some FBX versions do not open. Convert them to GLB or another format first |
| Editing (shape, colour or material changes) | Not supported | View, measure and export only |
| CAD formats (STEP, IGES, DWG, DXF and others) | Not supported | Export the model to a 3D format first |
| Exact dimensions and tolerance checks | Not supported | Displayed dimensions are for reference. Do not use them as manufacturing tolerances |
| Fetching textures or data from external URLs | Not supported | External references are not fetched. Drop the related files with their folder instead |
Limits & notes
- Up to 300 MB per file and 5 million faces (triangles).
- The hole check runs for models up to 1 million faces.
- PNG export is limited to 16.77 million pixels (for example 4,096 × 4,096).
- One model is opened at a time. When there are several, the first one in this order is opened: glb, gltf, fbx, obj, stl, ply.
- Works on smartphones. Large models can be slow to rotate and zoom, so a PC is recommended for them.
Privacy & safety
Loading, display and export all run in your browser. The 3D model and the exported images are never sent to a server.
