How to use
- product-photo.jpg1200 × 900 px
Add a photo with a background
- product-photo.jpgBackground → transparent
AI removes the background
- product-photo.pngProcessed on your device
Save as PNG or JPEG
Drop a photo or click “Choose file”. You can pick several photos. “Try a sample” shows how the result looks.
Choose the background: transparent, white, colour or blur. Keep it transparent to save a PNG.
Press “Remove background”. The AI model (about 44 MB) is loaded the first time only.
Check the result. Use the touch-up brush to paint “Keep” or “Erase” where parts were missed or cut off.
Press “Save” for one image, or “Save all as ZIP” for several.
What it does
Processed only on your device
The AI model and the browser runtime are served from this site, and the AI inference runs in a Web Worker. Photos are not sent to any external service.
Separates the subject from the background
The main subject, such as a person, product or animal, is kept and only the background is removed.
Touch-up brush
Paint to keep parts that were cut off, or to erase parts that were missed. You can change the brush size and undo one step.
Choose the background
Besides transparent, you can use white, any colour or blur. You can also trim the empty margin around the subject.
Several photos at once
Process several photos together and save them as a ZIP. The result is shown on a checkerboard, and you can compare it with the original.
Use cases
- Remove the background from product photos for a white-background shop or catalogue
- Cut out a person and place them on another background for slides or documents
- Make a transparent PNG to overlay on a website or a design
- Remove the background from work or personal photos without sending them to a server

Capability matrix
| Feature | Support | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Cutting out the main subject, such as a person, product or animal | Supported | — |
| Fine hair and fur | Partial | Thin strands can disappear or stay with the background. Fix them with the touch-up brush |
| Transparent glass, water and smoke | Partial | See-through parts can look unnatural |
| Subjects with a colour similar to the background | Partial | If the edge is not clear, parts of the subject can be removed |
| Choosing which subject to keep when there are several | Not supported | The most prominent subject is chosen automatically. You cannot pick which one to keep (the brush can adjust it) |
| Sending images to a server | Not supported | Nothing is sent. All processing happens on your device |
| Video and animation | Not supported | Only the first frame is processed |
Limits & notes
- Up to 20 MB per file. The limit is about 16 megapixels (for example 4000 × 4000). Images over the limit are not processed.
- You can choose up to 10 images at a time.
- The subject is an AI estimate, so the result can differ from the original. Check important photos before you use them.
- Processing time depends heavily on image size and device. On phones, large images can run out of memory.
- The first run downloads the AI model (about 44 MB). Later runs use the copy saved on your device.
- Transparent areas of the original are made white before processing. JPEG cannot store transparency.
Privacy & safety
Loading, processing and saving all happen inside your browser. Images are never sent to or stored on a server, and usage statistics do not include images or file names. The AI model and runtime are served from this site, and no external service is contacted.
