What it does

Body, headers, footers and notes

Tracked changes and comments in the body, headers, footers, footnotes and endnotes are handled in the same way.

Accept or reject, all at once

“Accept all” keeps inserted text and removes deleted text. “Reject all” removes inserted text and brings deleted text back.

Word layout left alone

Only the tracked changes in the Word XML are rewritten. Images, styles and page setup are copied byte for byte.

Read again before saving

The new file is read again and must show no tracked changes, comments or document details left before it is saved.

Counts and authors first

Before you clean, see the insertions, deletions, formatting changes and moves, who changed what and when, and the comment text.

Use cases

  • Remove the review marks (tracked changes) before you submit or share a file
  • Remove comments and author names before you send a file outside your organisation
  • Accept all changes and keep only the final text
  • Keep the tracked changes but hide who made them

  • .doc (old format), password-protected documents and broken ZIP files cannot be opened.
  • Tracked changes are handled all at once (they cannot be picked one by one).
  • It also opens on a phone, but a large file may run out of memory there, so a computer is recommended.

FAQ

What is the difference between accepting and rejecting?
Accepting makes the changes final: inserted text stays and deleted text is removed. Rejecting undoes the changes: inserted text is removed and deleted text comes back. In both cases no tracked-change marks remain.
Does the file look different in Word afterwards?
Page setup, images and styles do not change. However, where text was added or removed by accepting or rejecting, line breaks and page breaks can move.
Is my file uploaded?
No. The file is processed only in your browser and is never sent to a server.
Can I accept changes one at a time?
No. This tool accepts all or rejects all tracked changes. For single changes, use the Review tab in Word.
When I remove comments, is the text they were attached to removed too?
No. Only the comment text and the comment marks in the body are removed. The text the comments were attached to stays.
Can I use a .doc (old format) file?
No. Save it as .docx in Word (File > Save As), then open it here.

Word Studio

Read a .docx on a PC or phone without Word, then take the body out as text, Markdown or HTML. It offers a contents list, character counts and one-click picture extraction. The file is never uploaded, and the page layout is not reproduced.

Share Safe

Before you hand a file over, see what is hiding in it — listed per file with severity — and get a safe copy with everything removable removed. The copy is re-checked afterwards, and whatever is left comes with manual steps. Files are never uploaded.

Drop a PDF to cut its size. Only photos and scans are recompressed, so text and graphics stay crisp. Your PDF is processed on your device and never uploaded.

PDF Editor

Lay text (Japanese included), shapes, arrows, a highlighter, freehand drawing and images on top of a PDF, and fill in its form fields. Text, shapes, highlights and freehand strokes are written as PDF vectors and real text, never as pictures; an added image is embedded as an image. Rewriting the original text and true redaction are not possible.
