How to use
- clip.movlandscape
Add a video
- clip.mp4rotated to 9:16 portrait
Choose format, rotation, crop
- clip.webmcopied if format is same
Convert and check the result
Drop a video or click “Choose file”. You can also try “Try the sample” first.
Choose the output format (MP4, MOV or WebM; only the ones this browser can write are listed). Choose the rotation or mirror if you need one.
Drag the box on the preview, or type its numbers, to choose the area to keep. An aspect ratio such as 9:16 keeps the box at that ratio.
Click “Convert”, play the result to check it, then save.
What it does
Same quality when only the format changes
When the video codec is the same and the picture is not changed, the video is copied without re-encoding. MOV to MP4 is quick and keeps the quality.
Rotation written as information
MP4 and MOV can store the rotation as file information instead of changing the pixels, so the picture is kept and only the direction changes.
Vertical with a blurred background
Fit a wide video into 9:16 or 1:1 with a blurred background or black bars. The output frame is 1080 pixels on the short side.
Crop on the preview
Drag the box, or type the left, top, width and height. With an aspect ratio, the box keeps that ratio.
Check before you save
Shows the length, size and video codec of the result, and lets you play it in the browser first.
Use cases
- Change an iPhone MOV to an MP4 that plays on most devices
- Turn a video that was recorded sideways the right way up
- Make a wide video 9:16 for a short-video post
- Cut the unwanted edges off a video and save it as WebM

| Rotation by 90°, 180° and 270° (MP4 and MOV can change only the information) | Supported | — |
| Rotating WebM | Supported | WebM cannot hold rotation information, so the pixels are turned (re-encoded) |
| Mirroring left-right or top-bottom | Supported | Changes the pixels, so the video is re-encoded |
| Cropping (drag, numbers, a fixed aspect ratio) | Supported | — |
| Vertical frames (9:16 fit, blurred background, black bars) | Supported | Output: 9:16 at 1080×1920, 1:1 at 1080×1080, 4:5 at 1080×1350, 16:9 at 1920×1080 |

| Changing the speed, or cutting part of a video | Not supported | Not handled on this screen |
| Keeping every audio track of a video | Not supported | Only the first audio track is kept |
| DRM (encrypted) video | Not supported | Cannot be read |
| Keeping tags (capture date, location and so on) | Not supported | The output has no tags |
Limits & notes
- Up to 2 GB, 4 hours and 4K (3840×2160) per file on a PC. Phones: 300 MB and 1 hour.
- A re-encoded output that would be too large (for example a 1-hour 1080p vertical video) is refused before conversion starts.
- Speed depends on the device. A blurred background takes longer on a long video.
- Damaged files, or formats that are not supported (DRM, unusual codecs), cannot be read.
Privacy & safety
Reading, converting and saving all happen in your browser. The file is never sent to a server.

Video Compress
To make a video smaller, choose the video and a quality preset (High, Medium or Small). Resolution, frame rate and bitrates can be changed one by one. Compare the size, resolution and playback before and after; the file is never uploaded.
Video Trim and Join
To keep only part of a video, set the start and end on the timeline and press “Add this part”. Put the parts in any order and save them as one video. Videos of the same format keep their quality.
Audio Converter and Video Audio Extractor
To get just the sound from a video, choose the video and an output format (MP3, M4A, WAV, Opus or FLAC). If the source audio is AAC, M4A is written without re-encoding, so the quality does not change. Your file is never uploaded.
Video Target Size
To bring a video close to a set size, choose the video and a target (8, 10, 25, 50 or 100 MB, or a custom size). The bitrate is calculated from the target, and if the result is over, it is lowered and tried again. The file is never uploaded.
GIF Maker
To make a GIF from part of a video, choose “From video”, set the start and end, pick a frame rate and size, and press “Make the GIF”. To join several images, choose “From images”. You can check the GIF in a preview before you save it.
Screen Recorder
Record a screen, window or tab, your webcam and microphone without installing anything. Add a camera overlay or mix mic and tab audio. Recordings stay inside this device and are never uploaded.
