How to use

  1. Drop a PDF or click “Choose files”. Thumbnails of all pages appear.

  2. Choose how to split. In “Extract selected pages”, click thumbnails to select (Shift+click selects a range).

  3. In “Split by ranges”, type the ranges you want as files, separated by commas, e.g. 1-3, 4-8, 9-.

  4. Check the list of files to be created and click “Split PDF”.

  5. Download the single file, or each file / all as a ZIP.

What it does

Choose visually

All pages are shown as thumbnails; click to select, Shift+click for ranges, plus select all and invert — no hunting for page numbers.

Four ways to split

Extract selected pages, split by ranges (1-3, 4-8, 9-), every N pages, or into single pages — with a preview of the files that will be created.

Original quality

Pages are copied as-is without re-rendering, so text and images keep their quality and text stays searchable.

No upload

Loading, thumbnails and splitting all run in your browser — safe for confidential documents.

Use cases

  • Send only the pages you need from a large PDF
  • Separate a batch scan into one PDF per document
  • Share a PDF in chapters or fixed-size chunks
  • Save every page as its own file

Limits & notes

  • Up to 300 MB per file. Very long PDFs may take a while to show all thumbnails (visible pages render first).
  • Form fields and digital signatures are not carried over to the split files (bookmarks are, only those that lead to pages in each file). Filled-in values stay as part of the page (no longer editable).
  • A link between pages is kept only when its target page lands in the same output file, and is then re-pointed at that page (named destinations are resolved too). A link to a page that goes into a different file is removed, since a link cannot point into another file. So nothing from pages you did not put in a file can end up in it. Links to URLs, notes and highlights are kept.
  • To reorder or rotate pages, use “Organize PDF pages”.

Privacy & safety

Loading, thumbnail rendering and splitting all happen in your browser. Your PDF is never sent to or stored on a server.

FAQ

How do I extract specific pages from a PDF?
Choose “Extract selected pages”, click the pages you need, then click “Split PDF”. They are saved as one PDF. If you know the range, “Split by ranges” with e.g. 2-5 works too.
Does splitting reduce quality?
No. Pages are copied as-is, so text and images are unchanged.
Can I save several ranges as separate files?
Yes. Enter ranges like 1-3, 4-8, 9- in “Split by ranges” and each range becomes its own PDF.
Can content from pages I did not select end up in the split file?
No. Even if a link points at an unselected page, that link is removed before the file is written, so neither the text nor the images of that page are included. Only links to pages in the same output are kept, re-pointed at the split file’s own pages.
Is my PDF uploaded?
No. Everything runs in your browser and your PDF never leaves your device.
